We are now well aware of the top 6 flights of English Premier League. These teams are comprised of players that usually carry a bulk load of fantasy points. Most of the FPL points are usually from high profile midfielders and strikers. These players although will bring most of the points but the dilemma that we all face is picking the right player. There is a wide range of players that carry a potential chance of gathering points. Since these are players will high points scoring abilities so they come with a large price tag. We have summed up the players that can be potential picks for your fantasy team.
Midfielder
Kevin De Bruyne - £10.0m
De Bruyne's passing range, vision, passing, crossing, intelligence, strength, and space creational will blow anyone's mind. At 10m he is pretty much the only guy in Manchester City squad who is certain to start regularly. Last season his role was more of CM than CAM or winger and still, he managed to grab 21 assists in the season making him the highest assist provider in the league. With striker force made of Gabriel Jesus and Aguero, this season won't be much different for him in giving points. He created a total of 184 chances in last two season. His main strengths are Key passes, Crossing, Taking set-pieces.
Dele Alli - £9.5m
The young English sensation Dele Alli continues to amaze us with his touch, ball control, strength, stamina and scoring prowess. With a tall stature, he is one of the scariest headers in the box along with Harry Kane. His goal against Chelsea in last two season shows why he is no less than a poacher. His attacking mindset is always a help to his team set up a goal. He scored 18 goals in 38 games for Spurs last season as he was also used as a second striker right behind Kane allowing him more in the box to score goals. Most of the FPL bosses have preferred him over his team mate Christian Eriksen for this reason. Safe to say he is a decent pick at that price for a player who plays more attacking than Eriksen.
Christian Eriksen - £9.5m
In our view, Christian Eriksen makes the team, ahead of Dele Alli due to his assist chances and also goal scoring threat from outside the box. Eriksen has 111 attempted assists last season also registering 20 assists just 1 short behind Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne. He has also scored 8 goals most of them from outside the box. The debate may come whether to choose Eriksen over Alli is right or not but one thing can be sure of no one will disappoint you over the season so the choice is yours.
Sadio Mane - £9.5m
Liverpool suddenly lost it last season when Sadio Mane left for AFCON. This shows how much inspirational he was to the Liverpool side. Attacking Midfielder who can operate in all Centre, Left, and Right position. Sadio Mane holds the record for the fastest hat trick in EPL. A forward with blistering pace and highly dribbling ability he scored 13 goals and 7 assist last season where he many matches due to AFCON. In absence of Sadio Mané, Liverpool seems too static with little or no movement shows how vital he is for them. At 9.5 he will be a good choice from the Liverpool side.
Phillip Coutinho - £9.0m
If you check Brazilian stat leaders in the Premier League, Coutinho stands above all by becoming the personnel to score most goals scored (34) and most assists (29). We are pretty confident that Coutinho is staying at Liverpool this season despite Barcelona interest. The samba boy has been improving an aspect of his game every season: end product, work-rate than free kicks. He has developed his play-making skills. Despite being injured, he managed to score 13 goals and 8 assist in 2016/17 campaign. Coutinho's ability to carry the ball forward, close control, vision or passing range is special. He is one of the key players in Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side.
Alexis Sanchez - £12m
At the time of writing, the Chilean international is still an Arsenal player. With rumors circulating over his future regarding leaving arsenal for Champions league with man city being the front runner for his signing. Alexis Sanchez was the top points scorer in FPL last season. But the rumor regarding his transfer has kept his future in Emirates uncertain. For now, though, he remains an Arsenal player who is one of the best in the league for his performance. Although played majority time as a lone striker or second striker last season for arsenal the ex-Barca man remained as a midfielder this time. Truly an elite midfield option, the player has a bit expensive 12m price tag which seems a lot but who won't pay it for the best who has scored 24 goals and 11 assists in total last season. He embraced double figures on 11 matches.
Mesut Ozil - £9.5m
The assist man had a turmoil last season. But this year there is hope for the attacking midfielder. With Sanchez staying and Lacazette signing for the Gunners, there is a lot of potential building up regarding Arsenal's attack which will help Ozil in getting more assists. His passing ability is just out of the world and his skill to find players is something he was appreciated from the start. He scored 8 goals and 11 assists which isn't that bad. He also completed 2110 successful passes. So, our tip is Ozil will be a good pick. If you are hanging in the balance in managing budget whether to go for Ozil or Sanchez, then it'll be Ozil all the way.
Pedro - £8.0m
Pedro is a pretty good choice for the season to commence. With the absence of Hazard, Pedro will get more chances to move forward and get more goals to his tally. Pedro had a decent last season. With 26 appearances and 9 starting from the bench, Pedro was able to find the net 9 times and was also able to make 9 assists. His passing ability and holding the ball is praiseworthy. He also poses counterattack threat. So Pedro will turn out to be a perfect mid ranged priced midfielder this season. We strongly recommend him as he will get a better chance in scoring and assisting due to Hazard missing out for the next first two months. So better soak the points he is likely to provide before he runs barren
Henrik Mkhitaryan - £8.0m
The Armenian is already an internet hit with his 'knocked up' picture. While he remains out of the discussion for being the victim of Jose's rotation the only highlight from last season is his controversial offside scorpion goal against Sunderland. Apart from all these, on and off screen criticism of Mkhitaryan as a player has huge potential. He showed his class back in Dortmund where he scored 11 goals and 20 assists in 31 games during his final season. He has also shown fine form is preseason friendlies by scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist. With the arrival of Lukaku and Pogba behind him, there is a lot of chance for him to shine and make his position concrete in Jose's main squad else the Armenian may face some harsh time on the bench.
Paul Pogba - £8.0m
Truth be told people were concentrating about Pogba's price tag and dabbing more than his actual game play. It is fair to say the Frenchman didn't actually live up to his expectation compared to his price tag but the midfield sensation has shown, with proper players around, he can actually show the world his worth. Although he only scored 5 goals last season and yet managed to take the 7th position among midfielders in goal attempts. This clearly refers that he has an eye for goals. Luck didn't help him much as he struck woodwork 5 times. With the arrival of Lukaku, his scoring and assisting chance has increased a lot. This is the season where he can prove his haters wrong or will he give more fuel to his critics so that they can bash him for the time being.
Leroy Sane - £8.5m
It is very risky to take players from Manchester City due to their
rotation risk but as it stands out Pep prefers sane over sterling. So the
possibility of him starting is way more than others. Jesus and Sane as inside
forwards and Kun through the middle as it was in the latter stages last year
may show sane is a cheap pick at 8m. He will be playing alongside Bernardo
Silva, David Silva, Kevin De Bryune, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero is really
mouthwatering which can help Sane in getting some handy assist and goal. He has
got the pace, strength, height, intelligence and the end product already to
prove his worth.
Forwards
Gabriel Jesus - £10.5m
In just 10 appearances, 7 goals and 4 assists for a 19-year-old Brazilian kid mesmerizing in a tough and physical English. No doubt about his potential but the way he settled in the premier league shows how high he can go in his career. Gabriel will get more game time than Agüero, same with the goals to be scored as well as he will be playing more. The term more game time Gabriel is said cus it can be seen how Pep prefers Gabriel even if Aguero is in the main squad Gabriel is being shifted in wing role which indicates that no matter Aguero plays or not Gabriel will be playing in front third.
Sergio Aguero - £11.5m
Recent rumor of him being linked with Chelsea, or fall out with Pep or even being benched by top prospect Gabriel Jesus but there is never doubt about the quality of Sergio Aguero who has always been must pick for FPL bosses. One of the most enhancing performers of English ever since he joined Manchester City from Athletico Madrid. in 181 games he scored 122 goals,29 assists and 5 hat-tricks for Manchester City. thrived to prove him more to city fans and pep and with the recent competition with new comer, Gabriel Jesus its exciting to see how he triggers his goal scoring ability.
Harry Kane - £12.5m
Ever imagined a player priced only at 5.0 giving 191 points? Yes, that's Harry Kane who in 2014/15 season was rated at only 5m and he ended up giving 191 points in that season, scored 21 Goals and 7 assists. but the story didn't end there. While people called one season wonder he pushed all the backlash by proving for the last two season which made his price now 12.5m. yes from 5m to 12.5m that's how consistent and prolific he has been over the season. with spurs playing some good football under Pochettiono the tall English striker can live up to our expectation once again while aiming for the title with him being the main striker.
Romelu Lukaku - £11.5m
A well proven premier league striker in a team with a fine midfield comprised of top tiers players like Pogba Mkhitaryan. I literally can't see anything going wrong here. All those of us playing fantasy premier are well aware of Lukaku's hunger for scoring goals. The second highest goal scorer of last season scoring 25 goals is something you just can ignore. He also has managed to find his debut goal against Salt Lake City in the pre season friendlies.
Roberto Firmino - £8.5m
One of Klopp's favorite, Roberto Firminho can be a decent second striker. Liverpool has mixed openers but players like Firminho are fixture independent. Klopp's attacking style of play poses a threat to the best of the best defenses in Premier League. With 11 goals and 7 assists to his name Firminho is a good choice if you have beefy defense and midfield and yet want a top flight striker in your team.
